Event Types and classifications:

SQ is a State Qualifier every team must play in State Qualifier to play in the State Event

A NIT is a Double Point Event

Regional Qualifiers and State Tournaments are Triple Point Events

Double Point Weekends

The following weeks every event is a double point event

1/4- 1/11  2/15-2/22   3/8-3/15   4/12-4/19  5/10-5/17  6/7-6/14

7/5-7/12 8/9-8/16   9/6-9/13  10/4-10/11   11/8-11/15   12/6-12/13

Event Seeding: FASA will seed their events by points.

Our Regional Qualifiers, State, National, and World Series Events are seeded by FASA points ratings if  points are tied then our system does a random draw with the tied teams. Most weekend Events are blind draw.

 Team Classification A, B, C, or C-REC:

Teams are classified as either "A", "B", "C", or "C-REC"! While the area director can lock in  a classification to stop a team from being reclassified, the classification will be done by our points system. Teams that are in the top 20% of the top points in their age group nationally will be classified as "A", teams that are within the 80% -21 %  of the top points will be classified as "B", teams with 20% or less of the top points nationally will be classified as "C", and the "C-REC" will only be pure league teams.

How to qualify for the World Series or National:

FASA  is participation oriented to Qualify for the World Series or National all you have to do is participate in  1 State qualifier and your local State Tournament. Another way to qualify is to place top 2 in an NIT or participate in a triple point Regional Qualifier
